Innovation Showcase Grand Opening

AMS were proud to be part of the official opening at the Innovation Showcase in Queensland to launch their latest range of wireless mobility products. ‘The Innovation Showcase located at the Gold Coast Airport has been designed to exhibit innovative products and services.

Lionel Barden highlighted the importance of the new ‘Innovation Showcase’ to the Gold Coast. ‘Traffic through the Innovation Showcase will range from local, national and international consumers, commercial buyers, distributors through to financiers’.

On the 30 April the honorable Joe Hockey minister for small business and tourism officially opened the Innovative Showcase by making a speech and cutting the ribbon for the official launch. AMS attended the opening to highlight and demonstrate how companies in Australia are increasing their staffs productivity and overall profits by accepting orders or conducting service calls out in the field on small hand-held devices.

The sales orders or job information is sent back to head office in real time from the handheld device. Automated accounting and inventory control into current office network. The client signs the hand held device as proof of delivery, the field worker submits the information back to the office in real time, eliminating repetitive data entry processes. The client receives the invoice or quote via fax or E-mail. The ability to track and trace staff easily anytime from the user-friendly AMS control panel eliminates costly phones calls.

The honorable Joe Hockey minister for small business and tourism took time to visit the AMS display stand to see the AMS field force wireless automation product range first hand, and to discuss the company’s future direction. It is exciting to see new wireless technology applications evolving from Australia which allows business to conduct their work easily and productively from anywhere in the world at anytime.

‘The end goal of the Innovative Showcase is to provide exposure which will increase business to the region’s products and services and foster an international recognition of the Gold Coast as an important place to do business’ says Mr Barden.

Incorporated within Innovation Showcase is an allied venture called “The Meeting Place” which houses a business centre with conference rooms and auditorium that can be adapted to cater for product launches and functions.

AMS are proud to be associated with the Innovative Showcase and will continue to support the program by having a permanent display stand located on the premises.
